Project: Women’s Political Participation Academy – Agadir Ida-Outanane Prefecture

This project is a strategic initiative aimed at empowering women and strengthening their active presence in politics and decision-making at the level of local authorities and elected institutions.
It is based on a deep belief in the role of women as essential partners in development and seeks to create an educational and interactive space that enables women to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to engage in political life with confidence and efficiency.

The Academy organizes a diverse set of activities, including awareness-raising workshops, communication campaigns, and in-depth training sessions covering topics such as electoral laws, advocacy techniques, communication skills, women’s leadership, and mechanisms for developing and monitoring public policies.
The project also includes dialogue and evaluation sessions bringing together elected women, civil society activists, young women interested in elections, and members of consultative bodies, with the aim of exchanging experiences, expanding networks, and fostering mutual support.

Through this approach, the project aims to:

• Increase women’s political awareness and encourage them to actively contribute to decision-making.Strengthen women’s representation in elected councils and public leadership positions.
• Develop women’s leadership skills through continuous training and mentoring.
• Contribute to achieving gender equality and equity in political life.
  
  

Thus, the Women’s Political Participation Academy serves as a key driver for preparing a new generation of qualified women leaders capable of bringing about positive and sustainable change within the local community and contributing to building a more inclusive and equitable Morocco.

General Objective of the Project:
To contribute to promoting women’s effective political participation, strengthening their leadership and local governance capacities, and enhancing their role in decision-making.
