Project Overview: The “Youth Participate” project is a pioneering initiative aimed at strengthening youth civic participation in the Souss-Massa region by engaging 50 young women and men in local decision-making processes across five cities: Agadir, Aït Melloul, Taroudant, Tiznit, and Tata.
The project seeks to empower youth to play a key role in engaging with local public policies by building their capacities, raising their awareness of how to influence local decisions, and supporting their effective involvement in monitoring and evaluating local public policies.
This project is implemented by the Forum of Competencies for Development and Democracy (FCDD) within the framework of a partnership with the “Moussawat Mouwatina – Citizen Participation” program, funded by the European Union, under the supervision of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), in partnership with the Ministry in charge of Human Rights and Relations with Parliament, and the National Human Rights Council.
General Objective of the Project: To strengthen the civic participation of 50 young women and men from the Souss-Massa region by empowering them to play an active role in local decision-making, and in the monitoring and evaluation of public policies in five cities of the region: Agadir, Aït Melloul, Taroudant, Tiznit, and Tata.
